Denervation as a therapy for vasomotor rhinitis has often been considered.  With the advent of topical therapies, Dr Templer referred to this a complex procedure in search of an indication.  By transecting the Sphenopalatine Artery, we are in essence dividing the more distal nerve and thus attaining our objectives.
