Choanal atresia, also called “stenosis”, is a relatively rare cause of nasal airway obstruction in newborns. At our clinic, we have a fairly large experience in managing this situation. The new technologies balloon sinuplasty and topical Mitomycin C give us even more tools to deal with this frustrating condition.
